Privacy Policy.
How we handle information you share with us through this website.
Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy applies to mesaestateplanninglawyer.com, operated by Mesa Estate Planning ("we," "us," "our"). It explains what information we collect when you visit our site or contact us through it, how we use that information, and the choices you have.
This policy does not cover information you share with us by other means (phone, email outside this site, in person, or as part of an attorney-client engagement), which is governed by our engagement agreement and the rules of professional conduct that apply to Arizona attorneys.
Information we collect
Information you give us directly
When you fill out the contact form on this site, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number, if you choose to provide it
- The message you send us
When you book a consultation through our scheduling tool, the scheduling provider collects the information needed to create the appointment, including your name, email, the time you selected, and any notes you add.
Information collected automatically
When you visit this site, our hosting provider receives standard technical information that your browser sends to every website you visit, including your IP address, browser type, the page you requested, and the time of the request. This is used to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and diagnose problems.
We do not run analytics scripts, advertising pixels, or session-replay tools on this site at the time this policy was written. If that changes, we will update this policy.
Cookies and similar technologies
This site does not set its own cookies for tracking or advertising. Third-party tools that you choose to interact with on the site — for example, the embedded scheduling tool or links to our social media accounts — may set their own cookies in your browser. Those cookies are governed by the third party's own privacy policy, not this one.
How we use your information
We use the information you share with us to:
- Respond to your inquiry and follow up if you ask us to
- Schedule and prepare for consultations
- Send you the resource or download you requested
- Keep records of communications as our profession and the law require
- Operate and improve the site, including security and abuse prevention
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Third parties we rely on
We use a small number of vendors to run this site. Each receives only what it needs to do its job:
- Vercel hosts the site and delivers it to your browser. It receives the standard technical information described above.
- Google Workspace receives messages submitted through the contact form so we can read and respond to them.
- Cal.com powers our consultation scheduling. It receives the information you provide when booking an appointment.
We may also share information when required by law, in response to a valid legal process, or to protect our rights, our clients, or the public.
How long we keep your information
We keep contact-form messages and scheduling records for as long as we need them to respond to you and to maintain reasonable business records. If you became a client, additional retention rules apply under the Arizona Rules of Professional Conduct and our engagement agreement. If you did not become a client, you can ask us to delete records of your inquiry at any time using the contact details below.
Your choices and your rights
You can:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong
- Ask us to delete information we are not required to keep
- Decline to provide information — though we may not be able to respond to you without it
If you live in a state with specific privacy rights (for example, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, or Virginia), you may have additional rights under your state's law, including the right to opt out of certain types of sharing. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us, including limiting who has access and using vendors that maintain industry-standard safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that information transmitted over the internet is fully protected in transit.
Links to other sites
This site links to other websites we do not control — for example, news articles, government resources, or our own social media pages. We are not responsible for those sites' privacy practices.
Not legal advice
This site is for general informational purposes only. Reading this site or sending us a message does not create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship is formed only by a signed engagement agreement.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted clearly here so you can see what changed.
